I'm all about helping artists reach their fullest potential and sound the best they can.

I arrived in music production, as many do, through being a musician myself.  I began by playing guitar in rock bands in my adolescent years, through which I became obsessed with technique and shred metal.  This later evolved into jazz guitar and the study of music theory — my undergraduate degree is in composition from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, OR.  I also developed a strong connection with recording - my high school band scrapped together all the Radio Shack microphones we could and made records in our basements.  I began freelance recording in college, and spent several years afterward recording music all over Portland, as well as working in music publishing.  Subsequently I decided to pursue higher education in recording, and did a Master's in Audio Sciences at the Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD.  Originally from the Pacific Northwest, I came back out to the West Coast shortly after finishing school, and dove into the Bay area scene.
